How To Influence High Performance People

One powerful tool to learn and master is influence. By achieving this you will gain new friends, clients, and customers, build your prestige, and become a global leader.

 

Influence is the power and knowledge to affect others decisions, opinions, or way of thinking. Mastering such a skill will help you achieve something good in life. Be someone’s mentor or life coach.

 

Mastering this skill, will allow you to gain and attain desired results. Here are four levels/strategies to help you achieve high level influence:

 

  1. First level: Exchange. This a basic level. For example, I give you this and I get that.
  2. Second level: Persuasion. This is a deeper level of thought. It deals with the mind. Getting someone to do what you want them to do (or at least not to undermine it).
  3. Third level: Motivation. Motivation comes from the heart. What is making you do this? Intrinsic and extrinsic feelings that make you. Your beliefs, values, and heart define your actions.
  4. Fourth level: Inspiration. What is in your soul? When you listen to a great speaker, teacher, or coach, you feel their words, their spirit. They inspire you from within.

 

Practice these four levels in low-risk situations and on one on one. By becoming more versatile, flexible, and more confident you will influence teams and larger groups, a skill used in higher level situations.
